I was very impressed by all aspects of Mr Chandrasenan’s care. His communication skills were excellent and his explanation of the rationale behind his management recommendation was clear and readily understandable. He is personable and makes good eye contact. Post operatively the information and advice given was clear. I recommend him most strongly.

I underwent ACL reconstruction on the 9th August, with the surgery performed by Mr Chandrasenan. Throughout the weeks prior, and the weeks since I found him to be a very approachable, well spoken and confident Doctor who reassured me prior to the surgery. Now, some ten weeks post operation, I have to say that my knee feels really strong and I am slowly building my confidence up in moving freely, which is more a mental issue than anything else. I am still undergoing post-surgery physiotherapy at the hospital on a fortnightly basis and gradually performing more extensive exercise. I have been absolutely delighted on my progress, and recuperation following surgery and want to thank Mr Chandrasenan for what appears to be an incredibly professional and comprehensive job! He is clearly a master of his craft and someone I would recommend that you can trust implicitly for knee surgery.

Having seen a number of Consultants over the years what I appreciate is that prior to any surgery the surgeon explains clearly what they think is the problem with your knee and what they intend to do to resolve the problem. Then soon after the surgery they explain what they actually did (things can change) and what the short and medium term outlook is, Mr Chandrasenan did this. I think I was the last patient to go to surgery on that particular day and therefore it was relatively late in the day once I had come around from the surgery but Mr Chandrasenan came to see me to explain what he had done. Not every consultant that I have seen has done this. For me this is incredibly important as it outlines what condition your knee is in and therefore what rehab is required which is particularly important to make sure that you do not over do / under do your rehab as you do not have the post-op check-up with the surgeon for six weeks.

I have been under the care of Mr Chandrasenan for the last two years and have always found him extremely easy to discuss my on going condition regarding my knee problems. He understands that I am very active and do not wish at this time to stop my activities he listens to me and we have a plan for the future should I require to see him if anything changes I have complete confidence in his care and would not hesitate to recommend him

Jeevan is understanding and empathetic towards patients. He put me at ease straight away when I was feeling anxious about my operations. I had been his patient for 16 months following my knee injury and he has helped me so much. Whenever I had a question or worry, he would always answer honestly and gave me extremely helpful advise for my recovery process.
